This site exists for one thing: 50,000 people placing 50,000 stones together.
We collect the minimum needed to make that fair, and nothing more.
What we collect
- When you place a stone: a random token stored in a cookie on
your device, a one-way hash of your network address (we never store the address
itself), the time, your stone number, and โ if you chose one โ your dedication
(e.g. ืืขืืืื ื ืฉืืช). This is solely to honor "one stone per person."
- While the page is open: a random tab identifier pings our
server so everyone can see how many people are here now. These records delete
themselves within minutes.
- For the fast-times countdown: your approximate city, derived
from your connection by our hosting provider. It is used to calculate sunset and
is not stored. If you tap "use exact location," your precise position stays on
your device; only coordinates rounded to about a kilometer are used to look up
your area's name, and they are not stored either.
- On your device only: your language choice, your stone number,
and your fast-time custom are saved in your browser's local storage so the site
remembers you. They never leave your device.
What we don't do
- No accounts, names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no social-media trackers.
- We never sell, rent, or share data for marketing. There is nothing to sell.
Cookies
One cookie (bhm_token) โ a random identifier that marks that your
device already placed its stone. It is strictly functional, which is why there is
no cookie banner.
Who processes data for us
Cloudflare hosts the site,
serves it worldwide, and stores the stone count. BigDataCloud receives only rounded
coordinates (from our server, never from your browser) to name your area if you use
exact location.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete your placement record โ tell us your stone number and
roughly when you placed it, and we'll remove it. For this or any privacy question:

Zmanim
The fast-end times are astronomical calculations and are approximate. For halacha
l'maaseh, follow your rav and your local luach.
Children
The site is suitable for all ages and knowingly collects nothing from anyone โ
child or adult โ beyond what is described above.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear at this address with an
updated date.
